Hawaii 2015

We just returned from a week away in Maui and boy was it terrific.  This time, Cooper thought Hawaii was phenomenal.  He was a very good boy on the plane (over...the way back, NOT so much), thought the pool was terrific, enjoyed playing with sand toys on the beach and took naps every afternoon in his stroller by the pool with the ocean breeze as his lullaby (and allowing his parents a much deserved cocktail with friends!).

We were there with Salesforce club again - John Mayer gave us a private concert and we were surrounded by friends for the majority of the time.  It was a terrific terrific trip.

We also had a pretty big week of "growing" while there.  Within the week's time, Cooper's level of comprehension seemed to grow exponentially.  Now, we are having conversations with him.  We ask him if he wants something and he very definitively says yes or no.    He is obsessed with trucks and cars and buses of any kind and spent a good portion of the trip (and the week prior with my mom) yelling "WOOOOOOAAAAAHHH" at every truck and bus he saw.   Truck and car are now in his ever growing vocabulary, along with cracker and boat.

Our only set back was letting him come into bed with us each night of the trip so as not to wake up our neighbors with the noise.  We are now paying for this dearly and will be back to sleep training tonight.  Last night was a 2+ hour crying jag that ended with us giving in.

The other best part was being able to spend so much time with our dear friends the Sparolinis!  Ava is 7 months and Cooper had so much fun sharing adjoining hotel rooms with them.

A fabulous trip all in all!

Here we go!  Trying to "train" him to watch tv.  BAD (and slightly desperate) PARENTS

Days spent by the pool.  On the noodle.

The bus is coming...and we're pretty psyched

Video to follow.  He's beside himself

The ocean wasn't a true favorite but we're getting closer.  Certainly better than last year!

Chilling in my cabana.  You can thank me and Ava, mom and Carla

Mom had to work while we were there, but she can work one handed.

As alluded to, the plane ride home was terrible.  Thank goodness for Facetime calls from Elmo.
